Redwood National Park is located in the Northwestern corner of California.
Who was it created by?
- Redwood National Park was established in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson.
- 400,000 people visit the park annually.
- Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center is a great place to visit because it has ranger-led activities, exhibits, and a picnic area.
- Drive the Howland Hill road for its 10 miles to experience a beautiful scenic route through the huge trees.
- Explore around the Davidson road to find Gold Bluffs Beach, and survey the gorgeous Fern Canyon.
- You can do a 2.5 mile hike loop to Trillium Falls, one of the only waterfalls in the park.
- There are not any indoors lodging areas in Redwood National park, however, there are several camp grounds scatter around. You can find a place to sleep elsewhere, outside the park, at the Victorian Inn in Ferndale, California.
- Redwood National Park is free to get in to. The best time to go, like any other national park, is in the summer. The park is open year round.
